I have an Ubuntu VPS on which I run django and PHP sites and have had a good experience with these guys. Generally quick to respond to queries, and helpful with technical stuff.
There was one problem whereby my credit card was overbilled, but the problem was fixed and I was offered a free domain renewal as compensation.
Highly recommended.
